The Lido Life Reporting In - TheLidoLife - 09-27-2024

Hey everyone, I’m TJ!

I’m super excited to have started this awesome community of fellow travelers! A little about me—I’m a huge travel addict, especially when it comes to cruising. My love for it all started a few years ago when I took my first cruise through Carnival, and I’ve been hooked ever since. There’s just something about waking up to the ocean breeze and exploring new places that I can’t get enough of.

Since 2020, I’ve been lucky enough to travel a lot, whether it’s by sea, air, or road. Here’s a quick rundown of my adventures:
  • 6 cruises to some amazing places like Alaska, the Caribbean, and the Bahamas. I’ve sailed on ships like the Carnival Spirit and Carnival Freedom, and every trip has been a blast.
  • 14 flights racking up over 23,000 miles, hitting airports from Seattle to Biloxi (shout out to Caesars Air Rewards for some of those!).
  • 30,000+ miles driven through 12 states, with road trips ranging from Gatlinburg, TN (where my wife and I got married on Halloween, in costumes, no less!) to Florida.
When I’m not traveling, I’m usually planning the next big trip, dreaming about cruises, or talking about cruising (seriously, once I get started, it’s hard to get me to stop!). I love every part of it—from the food and shows to the casino (I’ve got a bit of a weakness for blackjack).

My wife Shannon shares my love for travel—she’s all about the outdoors and loves waking up with coffee in hand, enjoying that morning view on the ocean. Together, we’ve crossed off some big bucket list items like The Grand Canyon, Alaska, and Route 66.

Up next, we’ve got some exciting trips planned:
  • Carnival Elation this October (can’t wait!).
  • A road trip to Jacksonville, FL.

I can’t wait to connect with more of you here, swap stories, and share tips. Whether you’re a first-time cruiser or a seasoned traveler, I’m always down to chat about anything travel-related.
Looking forward to getting to know you all and hearing about your adventures! And remember if you are new, or even a seasoned traveler. We are also a full-service travel agent as well. So reach on out

Catch you on deck,
TJ
